Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Roland Bayor, Ghana, who runs Roll Call ("we", "us"). They apply when you host an event, join one as a guest, or view a gallery. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these terms.
2. The service
Roll Call gives each guest at an event a limited number of shots on their phone. Photos stay hidden until the event's reveal time, then appear in a shared gallery. Features and limits depend on the event's plan and may change as we improve the service.
3. Hosts
- You must be 18 or older and give a working email address. You're responsible for everything done from your account.
- You're responsible for your event: telling guests that photos are being taken and shared through Roll Call, having any permission the venue or the people photographed require, and choosing whether the gallery is public or private.
- You can hide or delete any photo in your event, and you should remove photos people reasonably ask you to remove.
4. Guests
- Use a real first name or nickname, and only join events you've been invited to.
- Your photos will be seen by the host and, after the reveal, by whoever the host's gallery settings allow (for a public gallery, anyone with the link).
- Guests under 16 should only join with a parent's or guardian's permission.
5. What you can't do
You agree not to use Roll Call to:
- upload nudity, sexual content, graphic violence, or anything illegal, hateful, harassing or threatening;
- take or share photos of people in private situations without their consent, or of anyone in a way that puts them at risk;
- upload content that infringes someone else's copyright, privacy or other rights;
- interfere with the service, get around its limits, access other people's events or accounts, or use automated tools to abuse it;
- resell or rebrand the service without our written permission.
Photos are checked automatically, and explicit ones are hidden until the host reviews them. We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these terms.
6. Your photos
You keep ownership of the photos you take. You give us permission to store, process (for example, resizing and safety checks), display and deliver them, only as needed to run Roll Call for the event: showing them to the host and in the gallery according to its settings, and letting the host download them. This permission ends when the photos are deleted, apart from copies that already reached other people through the gallery or downloads. You confirm you have the right to upload what you share.
7. Plans, invite codes and payments
- Every event can use the free plan. Some events are covered by an invite code, which sets its limits for that event only and can't be exchanged for money.
- Where paid plans are available, prices are shown before you pay, and payments are handled by our providers (Paystack or Polar). An event's upgrade applies once the payment is confirmed.
- Payments are for a specific event and aren't refundable once the event's camera has opened, except where the law says otherwise. If something goes wrong, contact us and we'll try to put it right.
8. How long photos are kept
Each event's plan sets how long its gallery is kept. When that time runs out, the gallery may be locked and its photos later deleted, and we'll try to warn the host by email first. Roll Call isn't a backup service: download anything you want to keep.
9. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Roll Call running, but it depends on phones, networks and providers outside our control, so we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every photo will upload. We may change, suspend or stop parts of the service; if we stop it altogether we'll give hosts reasonable notice to download their photos.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Roll Call is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost photos or data, or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the event concerned in the previous 12 months (or GH₵100 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
You agree to cover us against claims made by others that arise from your content or your breach of these terms.
11. Ending use
You can stop using Roll Call at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@platinumgroupe.cc. We may suspend or close accounts, events or access that break these terms or put others at risk.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll show the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll ask hosts to accept the new version before carrying on. If you don't agree, stop using Roll Call.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana handle any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
